Content you create: Lessons, narrations, attendance records, and other educational data you enter into Binder. This data belongs to you.
Usage data: We collect basic usage analytics to improve the service, such as page views and feature usage. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising scripts.
Payment information: Payment processing is handled by our billing provider. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve Binder. Specifically:
- To operate your account and deliver the service
- To send transactional emails (password resets, billing receipts)
- To provide AI-powered features when you opt in
- To improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns
AI Features & Your Data
When you use AI-powered features (lesson suggestions, narration feedback, etc.), the relevant content is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. AI features are entirely optional and can be disabled in your account settings. We do not use your content to train AI models.
What We Never Do
- We never sell your data to third parties
- We never display advertisements
- We never share your children's information with data brokers
- We never use your content for marketing purposes
Data Security
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. Access to production data is restricted to essential personnel only.
Your Rights
You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
